The MPSA is managed by a staff of association professionals, under the guidance of the Executive Director. Founded in 1939, the association is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in all areas of political science. Meegan Isenhour, CAE joined MPSA in 2013 and has been serving in the role of Executive Director since 2022. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MPSA including staff management and coordination, human resource management, policy and procedure development and implementation, project management, and governance committees.

A graduate of Indiana University, Meegan is a Certified Association Executive® with more than twenty years of non-profit association management experience.

In her spare time, Meegan enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs.

Amy Dubach, CAE is the Deputy Executive Director/Communications Director at the MPSA, where she assists with general administration and oversees all communications, marketing, graphic design and other special projects.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Washburn University and is a Certified Association Executive® with seventeen years of non-profit association experience. She is passionate about connecting with people through communications and creating a meaningful and positive member experience.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family camping, going for walks, and putting together craft projects with friends.

Tamara has served as Conference Director at the MPSA for over 20 years. She is responsible for all aspects of the conference. Tamara came to us two decades ago with an extensive career in business operations along with a lifelong interest in politics. Prior to her employment with MPSA, Tamara was Director of Operations in both publishing and manufacturing. She applies those same business principles and high standards to building events.

In her free time, Tamara enjoys spending time with her family, international and domestic travel, camping, swimming, music, and is a voracious reader. Tamara is also involved in fundraising efforts for various animal welfare and health organizations.

Bonnie Van Deventer serves as the Conference Administrator. Her responsibilities include conference customer service, overseeing onsite registration and assisting with the organization of the annual conference. Prior to joining MPSA in 2012, Bonnie’s experience included project management, contract administration and administrative services, in the private sector and University setting. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling.

Stephanie Carter, CAE is the Membership Director at the MPSA, where she oversees all aspects of membership including onboarding and renewals, programs and services, member assistance, and special projects.

Stephanie received her B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism and is a Certified Association Executive® with more than fifteen years of association experience. She brings her expertise and upbeat personality to the table when working with and for association members. Whether it’s a membership project or troubleshooting an issue, her knowledge, passion and dedication to the field always comes first.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys camping and hiking, reading endless amounts of books and spending quality time with her husband and two children.

Lewis Hoss is the Professional Development Manager at MPSA where he works to create professional development opportunities, manages the association's professional resources, engages members in online communities and interest groups, and oversees exhibits, mini-conferences, and other special projects during the annual conference.

Lewis received his Ph.D. in political science from Northern Illinois University and teaches at Rivier University in Nashua, NH. In his free time, Lewis enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and rooting for the Chicago Bears.

Robin Mendoza, Ph.D. is the Membership Administrator at MPSA, where she is responsible for member accounts, onboarding and renewals, customer service, exhibits, and special projects for the annual conference.

Robin received her Ph.D. in Public Affairs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has over 8 years of experience in nonprofit management and has research published about collaboration outcomes and program evaluation for nonprofits.

In her free time, Robin likes to draw and make stickers, drink boba, and go on walks with her small dog, Tags.

Rachel is the IT Director at MPSA. She is responsible for the overall organizational IT strategy, implementation and management of MPSA’s IT Systems. She provides leadership for the continued development of innovative, robust, and secure IT Systems.

Rachel has more than 16 years of experience in a technical role with the non-profit organizations, with the last 9 years in a leadership role. She has led multiple implementation projects and spearheaded new program development. She is a graduate from Mankato State University. Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, backpacking, and beekeeping.

Kahee Kim is the IT Systems Administrator at MPSA. She is responsible for the overall integrity, administration, and support of MPSA’s Association Management System (CRM/AMS). Prior to joining MPSA, Kahee has worked in the education field, developing her customer service and technical expertise.

Kahee was born and raised in South Korea and earned her bachelor’s degree from Korea University. In her spare time, Kahee enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading books, and watching movies.
