Fee waivers are provided on a first come, first-served basis and cover the MPSA conference registration fee only; no additional funds for travel are provided. The deadline to complete an application is February 28, 2021. Applicants will be notified early in March, 2021. If you have completed a conference fee waiver application and do not receive the fee waiver award, you will need to register to attend the conference (we will honor early bird registration rates if you contact conf@mpsanet.org).

If you are a scholar from a developing nation, you must apply for complimentary membership. after your complimentary membership is approved, you will be able to register for the conference at no cost.

Fee waivers are provided to individuals on the conference program (presenters, discussants, chairs, etc.) who have not been previous recipients of the fee waiver and are one of the following:

  1. Scholars who are not political scientists (or in public policy, public administration, or related fields). Examples of qualifying scholars include economists, sociologists, anthropologists, etc.
  2. Non-academic practitioners (e.g., judges, non-profit administrators, and congressional staff).
  3. Doctoral Candidates in a related field.
