Ways to Get Involved with MPSA
Every member of MPSA has access to fantastic resources like the conference paper archive, podcasts and discounts on programs and services, but the most active members have access to something more. They have access to a thriving network of scholars from across the discipline. Getting involved with MPSA can help you build your own network while supporting the success of the organization and you can even help the greater political science community. Just follow the links below for a sampling of ways to participate regardless of time available in your schedule!
If you have FIFTEEN minutes:

- Join MPSA on social media. MPSA is on: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky, and Instagram.
- Promote the annual MPSA conference to your colleagues.
- Submit a testimonial about the value of your MPSA membership or the MPSA conference.
- Share information with your networks from MPSA’s Twitter and Facebook accounts
If you have THIRTY minutes:

- (April – June) Nominate research for an award (conference chairs, discussants and section heads only)
- Offer to review the MPSA monthly newsletter, please contact MPSA Deputy Director/Communications Director Amy Dubach for more information.
- Monitor social media channels and alert MPSA staff of any items to share on a broader level.
If you have SIXTY minutes:

- Serve as a mentor during the MPSA Mentoring Reception at the annual conference.
- Learn more about how you can support social science research and contact members of Congress about issues that affect the discipline.
If you have MORE THAN SIXTY minutes:

- Volunteer to write a guest post for the MPSA blog, please contact MPSA Deputy Director/Communications Director Amy Dubach for more information.
- Offer to serve as a discussant at the annual conference.
- Offer to serve as a section chair or committee member.
- Serve as a Faculty mentor for graduate students over the next academic year.
